CARBON CAPTURE, UTILISATION & STORAGE

As the drive to implement CCUS projects gathers pace globally KKI is perfectly positioned to support the growing market and our partners in this exciting and essential field. KKI has a long history with CCUS supplying 6” API 5000 chokes to a major Norwegian field on CO2 subsea injection duty over 18 years ago.

More recently KKI has been awarded an order from Hitec Products AS for control valves on a MEG application for use on the Northern Lights Project. Our vast experience in bi directional, low noise, surface and subsea applications make us ideally placed to support this quickly developing field.

Surface & subsea electrification

In the drive for operators to greatly reduce their impact on the environment new and novel initiatives are underway. One such solution is the electrification of the assets be it surface or subsea. KKI’s experience in supplying electric and electro-hydraulic actuated solutions is a key part to realising this solution.

OFFSHORE FLOATING WIND

As the world invests in cleaner energy solutions the drive to offshore floating wind presents new challenges. Floating wind developments typically rely on large Transformer installations that required cooling systems and utilities much like a traditional Oil & Gas installation or ballast systems for large pontoons / semi-submersible bases required to support the turbines . KKI’s vast experience in offshore installations in some of the harshest environments like the North Sea & Barents Sea and our materials knowledge in handling corrosive fluids such as seawater make us a strong partner for your Offshore floating wind investments.

HYDROGEN APPLICATIONS

As the world looks for cleaner and sustainable solutions to help decarbonise the energy market Hydrogen is a logical choice. Whether it is Blue, Pink, Grey or Green in origin KKI has the product knowledge and field experience to support this growing technology segment. KKI supplied its first pure hydrogen duty valves back in 1969 on an early Steam Methane Reactor for Poland. Since then, we have continued to supply control valves on Hydrogen duties around the world on various refineries, chemical and fertilizer plants, ranging from relatively simple duties at small sizes ½” to 3” operating on low pressures and ambient temperatures, right up to high temperatures (315°C) & cryogenic temperatures (-190°C) and large sizes and ratings, even ANSI 2500.
