    Scope: This role is critical to the smooth global shipment of our products, ensuring all import and export activities are executed efficiently and in full compliance with HMRC and international trade regulations. You will work closely with the Trade Compliance Manager as well as colleagues across Sales, Purchasing, Finance, and Operations, combining hands-on logistics coordination with compliance expertise.

     

    Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll also play a part in process improvement and digital transformation projects — helping us streamline workflows, reduce costs, and strengthen compliance controls.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with freight providers, suppliers, and customers on inbound and outbound shipments.
    • Complete and validate import/export customs clearances, invoices, packing lists, and declarations.
    • Manage warranty/repair returns.
    • Submit and track export licence applications (SPIRE/LITE) and maintain accurate usage logs.
    • Monitor controlled goods, sanctions certifications, and export licence conditions.
    • Ensure correct application of HS tariff codes, Incoterms, valuation, and country of origin.
    • Maintain HMRC-compliant import/export logs and prepare documentation for audits.
    • Ensure ERP (LN) accuracy for customs/compliance data.
    • Support process improvement projects
    • Collate freight performance and costs, identifying savings and efficiencies.
    • Provide operational logistics/compliance support across departments and act as backup to the Trade Compliance Manager.

     

    Requirements (Essential)

    • Some experience in logistics coordination, customs compliance, or international trade.
    • Good attention to detail and strong organisational/document control skills.
    • Clear communicator, able to work effectively across teams and with international stakeholders.
    • Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues proactively.

     

    Desired Skills & Knowledge

    • Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and import/export regulations.

    Previous experience with ERP systems (e.g. Infor LN).

    The role comprises:

     

    Scope: To ensure the inspection of raw material, machined parts and finished bought in parts on delivery to the quality level required.

     

    Principal Duties:

    • Completion of Machine shop inspection activities such as physical inspection of components to drawings and updating ERP system.
    • The use of conventional measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers etc.
    • The use of CMM and Faro Arm to produce dimensional reports.
    • Hardness checking of components.
    • Inspection of raw material including castings, forgings and bar.
    • Inspection of bought in finished purchased parts in the Assembly shop.

     

    Other Duties:

    • Stamping or engraving components with relevant information.
    • Ensure measuring equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained against British Standards.

     

    Skills and Experience:

    • Self motivated.
    • Organisational ability.
    • Trained in use of Hardness test equipment, surface finish test equipment.
    • Ability to work unsupervised.
    • Ability to plan and prioritise own work effectively.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Apprentice trained in engineering discipline.
    • Formal NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) qualification or equivalent would be advantageous, but not essential.

     

    • Hours – 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

    Scope: The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining the production schedule for valve manufacturing operations. This role ensures that customer demand is met efficiently while balancing capacity, materials availability, and production constraints. The Master Scheduler will collaborate with operations, procurement, engineering, and sales to align schedules with business objectives and drive on-time delivery, and throughput improvements.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage the master production schedule for valves, spares, service and development related products, aligning demand forecasts, capacity planning, and material availability
    • Analyse capacity, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to maximise throughput while minimising downtime
    • Work closely with Sales, aftermarket and Project teams to validate forecast accuracy and adjust production plans accordingly
    • Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure raw material, castings, and bought in finished components are available to support the production plan
    • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to manage schedule impacts from product changes, rework, or engineering modifications
    • Track and report schedule adherence, lead times, and delivery performance against customer commitments
    • Implement best practices in scheduling, planning tools, and ERP/MRP systems to drive operational efficiency
    • Proactively identify risks to the schedule (material shortages, machine downtime, maintenance work, labour gaps) and implement corrective actions
    • Maintain accurate production schedules, provide visibility to stakeholders, and issue regular performance reports

     

    Preferred Skills

    • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (preferably INFOR LN Cloud)
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Proven ability to analyse data, develop actionable insights, and communicate clearly across all levels of the organisation
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience with bespoke make-to-order, engineer-to-order manufacturing environments
    • Knowledge of valve industry standards and processes
    • On-time delivery performance

    Qualifications:

     

    • BS (Hons) degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain, preferably in valve manufacturing or related industries

     

    • Contract – Full Time, Permanent.
    • Hours – 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
