APPRENTICESHIPS
Engineering Apprenticeships at Kent Introl
With a sustained skills shortage in the UK’s engineering sector, we invest in two apprenticeships a year. This gives great opportunities for learning and growth to promising newcomers to our industry. Our apprenticeships give them early exposure to the dynamic, challenging sectors we operate in, as well as the support and guidance of their more experienced peers.
On completion of their apprenticeships, a number of people have not only remained with the company, but also studied towards qualifications such as an HNC, HND or Degree. Typical job roles for apprentices have included:
- CNC Operator
- Fitter
- Sales Engineer
- Design Engineer
- Spares & Service Sales Engineer
Apprenticeships have proved a great success for all parties, by giving vital experience to the apprentice, whilst helping us build the base of skills we need to continue growing as a business in future.
Student Placements at Kent Introl
We take placements very seriously and ensure that students gain very real experience of engineering. During their placement, they have the opportunity to get involved in real-life projects in our Design and R&D departments.
This gives the students real, hands-on experience, a reference for the work they have done, and in many instances a future career opportunity. Several students have returned to take up full-time positions with us after completing their degrees.
Currently, we have a number of previous placement students employed with the company, including the following roles:
- Operations Engineer
- Design Engineer
- Senior Subsea Design Engineer
- Development Test Engineer
- Development Engineer
